Who can benefit from FemiLift?

What technology is used and how is the procedure performed?
The FemiLift treatment is performed similarly to a standard gynecology examination. The treatment uses breakthrough CO2 laser technology to gently heat the vaginal tissue, contracting existing fibers and stimulating the formation of new collagen. A specially-designed single-use sterile disposable probe is inserted into the vagina (similar to a vaginal ultrasound probe). The probe is rotated in a 360 degree pattern as it treats the entire vaginal area.
How long does the treatment take?
Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results (the number of treatments and intervals may be altered by the individual physician).
Are there any side effects?
FemiLift is a virtually painless procedure with minimal side effects and no downtime.
Do I qualify for the procedure?
Any woman with stress urinary incontinence and/or vaginal laxity symptoms can qualify for the FemiLift treatment. It is designed to accommodate a wide range of womens’ needs. We can review your medical history and determine if you are a candidate for the FemiLift procedure.

No. The treatment is pain free. It is more comfortable than having a pap smear test.
You will be asked to abstain from penetrative intercourse for 3 days.
No. Usually there is some vaginal secretion for a few days which is considered a normal and healthy reaction to laser treatment.
A specially-designed single-use sterile disposable probe is used during the treatment which prevents transmission of infections. This is placed on top of a special laser handpiece, which is used to deliver the laser energy (through the disposable probe).
FemiLift can be performed at any time. It has no effect on fertility, pregnancy or delivery. There is no need to wait until after childbirth.

The laser probe is inserted into the vagina up to the cervix- about 6-8 cm deep. The laser beam travels about .05 mm (usually about 300-500 microns) into the vaginal tissue. This is deep enough to reach the level of the sub-mucosa where new collagen is formed.
